Logan Blevins was born in October 2011, seven weeks prematurely, and within days was diagnosed with a rare genetic kidney disease. After a bilateral nephrectomy in which both of his kidneys were removed at 14 weeks, Logan thrived at home on peritoneal dialysis for 16 months until his father donated a kidney to him in June 2013 at Inova Children’s Hospital by Dr. Johann Jonsson. Watch the inspiring story of Logan and his parents, Chris and Rachel, and marvel at the miracle that is living donation. He was recently honored at the National Kidney Foundation‘s Kidney Ball!
