Inova Alexandria Hospital Earns Accreditation in Respiratory Care

National Accrediting Organization Recognizes Hospital’s Excellence

Alexandria, VA – (June 22, 2010) — Inova Alexandria Hospital Respiratory Care Services recently earned a two-year accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), a national accrediting organization that sets the standard for quality respiratory care.

“We are pleased to receive this accreditation for excellence in respiratory care,” said Christine Candio, CEO, Inova Alexandria Hospital. “This recognition acknowledges our pathologists’ and staff’s commitment to go above and beyond in providing patients with quality care.”

The accreditation, based on the results of an onsite survey, inspected the laboratory’s safety records, quality-care protocols, staff qualifications, equipment and other stringent guidelines. The inspection program is specially designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients.
