Inova Heart and Vascular Institute’s AHA Heart Walk Team Raises $40,427

The Inova Heart and Vascular Institute is thrilled to announce that during this year’s American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk it raised $40,427 dollars and won the award for top hospital in the region for the second year in a row – (December 10, 2012).

Each year, the AHA continues to advance its mission of fighting heart disease. Through their programs and research many lives are changed for the better. The funds raised by the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute during the Heart Walk go towards supporting projects such as:

  • Distributing the latest research to physicians to better prevent and treat heart disease among patients
  • Furthering pediatric heart and stroke research to help to save the lives of thousands of babies born each year with heart defects
  • Providing life-saving information to those who are most at risk for heart disease

The goal of the AHA and Inova Heart and Vascular Institute is to continue to make a difference in the fight against cardiovascular disease. With the help of donations from all of out supporters, we will continue to see significant progress.
