Christine M. Candio, RN, FACHE, Installed as ACHE Chairman

Christine Candio, CEO, Inova Alexandria HospitalALEXANDRIA VA – March 24, 2014 – Christine M. Candio, RN, FACHE, CEO, Inova Alexandria Hospital, and senior vice president, Inova Health System, Falls Church, Va., has assumed the office of Chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Candio was installed today at the Council of Regents Meeting preceding ACHE’s 57th Congress on Healthcare Leadership.

Candio received the gavel from ACHE’s outgoing Chairman, Diana L. Smalley, FACHE, regional president of Mercy in Oklahoma. As Chairman, Candio will serve the second part of a three-year term in ACHE’s consecutive chairmanship offices: Chairman-Elect, Chairman and Immediate Past Chairman.

Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Candio previously served as an ACHE Governor from 2010 to 2013. She served as president of ACHE of Massachusetts, an ACHE chapter, from 2004 to 2007.
